Terms & conditions

By using brasabrava.com and requesting a reservation or quote, you accept these terms. They are short and we wrote them so anyone can understand.

1. Who we are

Brasa Brava is an Argentine grill restaurant located at Por confirmar, San José, Costa Rica. Contact: Brasabravacr@gmail.com.

2. Regular reservations (1–20 guests)

How it works

When you submit the reservation form, we create a request with status pending. Our team checks availability and emails you the confirmation. Your reservation is firm only after you receive the confirmation email with your code.

Tolerance and no-show

  • We hold the table for up to 15 minutes after the reservation time.
  • After that, the table may be assigned to another guest.
  • If you do not arrive and do not let us know, we mark it as a no-show. Three no-shows in 12 months may require a credit card hold on your next booking.

Cancellations

You can cancel by replying to the confirmation email with your reservation code, or by calling +506 7113 8744. We appreciate at least 2 hours' notice.

3. Private events (over 20 guests)

The events form creates a quote request, not a firm reservation. Our team sends you a tailored proposal within 24 business hours. The event reservation is confirmed with a 30% deposit, non-refundable from 7 days before the event.

4. Payments and prices

Menu prices are in Costa Rican colones (CRC) and include the 13% VAT. They do not include the 10% service charge, which is billed separately. We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard. Prices may change without notice; the applicable price is the one at the time of consumption.

5. Allergies and dietary restrictions

We do our best to accommodate allergies and intolerances mentioned in the notes field. However, our kitchen handles gluten, dairy, nuts and seafood in the same space, so we cannot fully guarantee absence of traces.

6. Behaviour at the venue

We expect respectful behaviour towards other guests and our staff. We reserve the right to refuse entry and to ask a guest to leave if their behaviour affects others' experience or staff safety.

7. Limitation of liability

Brasa Brava is not liable for personal belongings left unattended, for delays caused by force majeure (power outage, demonstrations, extreme weather), or for reactions to allergens not communicated at the time of booking.

8. Privacy

The handling of your data is governed by our privacy policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of San José.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when reasonable. Changes apply to reservations made after the update date shown above.
